Porsche Pre-Purchase Inspection in Dubai: A Buyer’s Checklist
Buying a used Porsche is exciting, but a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) protects you from hidden faults and costly surprises. Here is what a thorough PPI in Dubai should cover.
Why get a pre-purchase inspection?
A PPI reveals deferred maintenance, previous accident repairs and developing faults that are not obvious on a test drive. It gives you a clear condition report and a stronger position to negotiate. Learn more about our Porsche pre-purchase inspection.
The buyer’s checklist
1. Diagnostics
A full electronic scan of the engine, transmission, ABS, airbags and other control units to read stored fault codes and live data.
2. Engine and transmission
Check for oil leaks, cooling issues, smoke, unusual noises and smooth gear changes (including PDK behaviour).
3. Brakes and suspension
Inspect pad and disc wear, brake fluid condition, and suspension components for knocks, leaks or uneven tyre wear.
4. Body, paint and underbody
Look for accident repairs, panel-gap inconsistencies, paint colour matching, corrosion and underbody damage.
5. Service history and documentation
Review the service records, mileage consistency, and whether key items like brake fluid and major services were done on time.
6. Road test
Confirm performance, steering, braking, air-conditioning and the absence of warning lights under real driving conditions.
Which models can be inspected?
A PPI applies to the full range, including the 911, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan, Boxster, Cayman and 718. The depth of checks is tailored to the model.
